WINNER OF THE OPUS KLASSIK 2024
In a remarkable achievement, Anna Skryleva and the Magdeburg Philharmonic have won the prestigious Opus Klassik award for World Premiere Recording of the Year. This accolade was bestowed upon them for their outstanding recording of the opera Grete Minde by composer Eugen Engel.
This is the first and only recording of Eugen Engel's opera "Grete Minde" that premiered in February 2022 at Theater Magdeburg, some 90 years after the score was rediscovered by Anna Skryleva and 80 years after the composer's death.
